Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. was established by Donald Edwin “Tommy” Thompson. Tommy was born on January 23, 1933 and started his apprentice trade at an early age. In April of 1965, he built his own establishment in Clear Spring, Maryland. Tommy provided professional services to his community until his passing on February 10, 1986, at the young age of 53.
Since the time of Tommy’s passing, his daughter, Sharon Thompson-Shupp, continues to operate and manage the family business.
Sharon’s daughter, Jill Armentrout, is currently pursuing an Associate Degree at Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science to carry on the family legacy.
