Born February 20, 1931, in Williamsport, MD, she was the daughter of the late William E. Grimes and Frances V. (Crawford) Grimes.
Beverly is preceded in death by her loving husband, Fonrose Bowers Taylor, Jr., in January 2017.
Beverly was a 1949 graduate of Hagerstown High School and a 1952 graduate of Baltimore General Hospital, where she received her degree in Registered Nursing.
Her nursing career spanned 45 years. She was employed at Clearview Nursing Home, Gateway Nursing Home, Avalon Manor for 25 years, Washington County Detention Center, and later in her career, she was the office nurse for the practice of William Fender, MD for 14 years. Beverly retired in 1996 to care for her husband over the next 20 years. She was a lifelong caregiver to others.
She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Clear Spring. Beverly was a former member of the Maryland Nursing Association.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Gray and husband, Jeff, of Clear Spring; her grandchildren, Kourtney Fawn Gray and Kerrington Matthew Gray both of Clear Spring; sisters, Laura Bowers and husband, Thomas, and Garnetta Shillingburg, all of Hagerstown; brothers, Samuel H. Grimes of Hagerstown and James Grimes, and wife, Alice, of Clear Spring; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Grimes and wife, Frances; sister, Ellen Foote and husband, Wayne; sister-in-law, Nancy Grimes; brother-in-law, James Shillingburg; and nephew, Mark Grimes.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.

In her final days, Hospice of Washington County and Somerford Assisted Living provided loving care and support to her and the family and for this, we will be forever thankful.
