Born September 24, 1923, in Hancock, MD, she was the daughter of the late Cleveland Tobias Shoemaker Sr. and Mary (Reed) Shoemaker.
Charlotte is preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Clyde Keifer, Jr., in 2015 whom she married at First Church of God (Hagerstown Bible Church) on March 10, 1943.
She was a member of Orchard Ridge First Church of God in Hancock, MD. Charlotte retired 1999 from Fairchild Industries after 57 years of service. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and was looking forward to becoming a great-great-grandmother in a few weeks.
Charlotte lived a full life and will be dearly missed. Memories are one of God’s greatest blessings and she will forever live in our hearts.
She is survived by her only daughter, Judy M. Cline and husband, Howard, of Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren, Penny & Larry Wink, Stacy & Troy McDonough, and Kristy & Garry Hose; great-grandchildren, Damara and husband, Corey Morgan, Amanda and Sarah Wink, Evan and Madlyn McDonough, and Garret and Christopher Hose and one sister, Faye Corbett of Hancock, MD.
In addition to her husband and parents, Charlotte was preceded in death by sisters, Lula Swain, Mary Hill, Ann Knable, and Phyllis Shives; brothers, Cleveland Shoemaker Jr., Roy Shoemaker, Stanley Shoemaker and an infant brother, Earl Shoemaker.
Services will be held on Sunday, January 26, 2020, at 2 pm at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, MD. The Rev. Dale Carver will officiate. Interment will follow at Blairs Valley Cemetery, Clear Spring, MD.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12 to 2 pm.
