Born August 25, 1971, in Hagerstown, MD, he is the son Ruth Louise (Yost) Snyder of Clear Spring and the late Harry Marvin Snyder Sr.
Marvy was a 1989 graduate of Clear Spring High School.
He was the owner and operator of Snyder’s Custom Logging.
Marvy was a member of the Pecktonville Hunting Club.
He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and mushroom hunting. He had a love for animals of all kinds. Marvy was a New York Yankees sports fan.
He is survived by his beloved wife who he adored very much, Amanda R. Snyder, of Mercersburg; daughter, Taylor B. Snyder of Clear Spring; four sons, Dustin G. Snyder, and wife, Kendal of Williamsport, Noah D. Snyder of Clear Spring, Thomas W. Ragland of Mercersburg, and Matthew K. Bard Jr. of Mercersburg; sister, Diann Summers, and husband, Charlie, of Hagerstown; niece, Courtney Summers of Philadelphia, PA; nephew, Travis Summers of Timonium, MD; mother-in-law, Phyllis Harnish of Mercersburg; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at 11 am at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, MD. The Rev. Paul A. Harne and Rev. Mary Douglas will officiate. Interment will follow at St. Paul’s Cemetery, Clear Spring, MD.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6 to 8 pm. For the convenience of friends, you may visit the funeral home after noon.
