Mary Lou Blair, 76, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Monday, February 10, 2020, at Charlotte’s Place in Boonsboro, MD.
Born March 28, 1943, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Eddie Moore and Mary Alice (Birker) Hawbaker and Rush “Buzz” Hawbaker Jr.
Mary was a graduate of South Hagerstown High School.
She was formerly employed with Ultracon in PA, was a manager at the Joseph C. Herbert American Legion Post 222 of Clear Spring, a quality inspector with London Fog, a rework worker at Lenox in Hagerstown, and also the co-owner of Tri-State Trucking.
Mary enjoyed crocheting in her spare time.
Mary is survived by her husband of 37 years, Larry H. Blair, of Hagerstown; a daughter, Mary Alice Pogue of Hagerstown, MD; two sisters, Ethel May Mills of Halfway and Norma Jean Myers of Hagerstown; a brother, David Leroy Hawbaker of Greencastle, PA; grandchildren, Angela and Levi Pogue; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by a son in law, Steven D. Pogue and a granddaughter, Samantha Pogue.
Services will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020, at 1 pm at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, MD. The Rev. John Cook will officiate. Interment will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home 2 hours prior to the service on Thursday from 11 am to 1 pm.
