Maxwell Trumpower Kline, 80, of Clear Spring, Md., passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, at the Western Maryland Hospital Center in Hagerstown, Md.
Born Dec. 22, 1934, in Big Pool, Md., he was the son of the late Walter Maxwell Kline and Virgie Crystal (Trumpower) Kline.
He graduated from Clear Spring High School in 1953.
He was employed with Jones Flooring, Earl Strayley Inc. and Lee Builders; after retiring, he worked for Ken Hilkers Moving & Storage.
He attended Lanes Run Church of God.
He also volunteered for the Clear Spring District Historical Society at Plum Grove.
Maxwell is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Kline; daughters, MaDonna Jo Kelley of Big Pool and Maria Jill Vincent of Clear Spring; son, Maxwell James Kline of Clear Spring; brothers, Glenn Kline of Hagerstown and Harold Kline of Clear Spring; sisters, Betty Ann Kriner of Clear Spring, Joyce Deneen of Warfordsburg, Pa., and Phyllis Michael of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; granddaughter, Lynsee J. Vincent; grandson, J. Blake Vincent; granddaughter, Margaret J. Kline; and great-granddaughter, Emmalyn Vincent.
In addition to his parents, Maxwell was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Kline.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, with the Rev. Richard Fox and the Rev. Louis Charlebois officiating. Interment will follow in Parkhead Cemetery, Big Pool.
The family will receive friends at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home Inc., Clear Spring on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. For the convenience of friends, you may visit the funeral home after noon.
