Born December 21, 1944, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Andrew Baker and Mary Ellen (Hornbaker) Baker.
Peggy was a 1963 graduate of Clear Spring High School.
She was a former member of Clear Spring Church of God and currently attended Calvary Temple in Williamsport.
Peggy was employed with Sunrise Handi Mart for 35 years.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, and serving others in her community. In her spare time, Peggy volunteered at Homewood Nursing Home with the Red Hat Club and attended her monthly high school class reunions.
Peggy is survived by her sister, Betty Albright (Joe) of Clear Spring, MD; three nieces, Betty Jo Griffin (Christian) of Midlothian, VA, Ellen (Duffey) Martin (Brent) of Greencastle, Joan Duffey-Kershner (Jeff) of Hagerstown; a grand-nephew, Samuel Forrester of Clear Spring; 2 grand-nieces, Cydney and Mackenzie Griffin; and a brother-in-law, Eugene Duffey of Clear Spring.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by a sister, Elsie Duffey, and a niece, Tina Duffey.
Services will be held on Monday, September 16, 2019, at 12 pm at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, MD. The Rev. Robert Robinson and Rev. Robert Timmons will officiate. Interment will follow at Shanktown Cemetery, Big Pool, MD.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
