Born November 24, 1941, in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of the late Jack Koppisch Miller and Nellie Marie (Spickler) Miller.
Sondra was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Clear Spring and retired from the Washington County Board of Education after 32 years. In previous years, she was employed with Maryland Ribbon, Corbett chicken farm, and London Fog in Hancock.
Sondra is survived by three daughters, Debra L. Mills of Clear Spring, MD, Candy Cannavino (Tony) of Jacksonville, FL, and Kristy Shockey (Ronald Shantz) of Hagerstown; one son; a sister, Rhonda Parks (Ed) of Lewistown, PA; a brother, Jack “Buzz” Miller of Lewistown, PA; 3 grandchildren, Floyd Harrell (Hannah), Derick Harrell, and Hunter Shockey; and 3 great-grandchildren, MacKenna, Kason, and Race Harrell.
In addition to her parents, Sondra was preceded in death by a son in law, Gerald Mills, and her long time companion, Richard F. Mills.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
Private services were held at the convenience of the family.
