Tre Joseph Guessford, 23, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Sunday, March 28, 2021, at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.
Born July 7, 1997, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of Joseph Donald Guessford, III and Dawnita Latisha Smith.
Tre attended South Hagerstown High School and later received his GED. He was a construction laborer for many years. In his spare time, Tre enjoyed skateboard, drawing, camping, and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by paternal grandmother, Jill Baum (Jim); maternal grandmother, Vera Smith (Neal); maternal grandfather, David Smith (Sharon); sister, Tierra Guessford; special nieces whom he adored, Serenity and Amaya; paternal great-grandfather, Austin Hoch; and numerous aunts, uncles, and extended family.
Tre was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Joseph Donald Guessford Jr. and his paternal great-grandmother, Mary Hoch.
There will be no viewing or visitation.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021, at 7 pm at Donald Edwin Thompson Funeral Home, Inc., 13607 National Pike, Clear Spring, MD.
Due to current COVID-19 regulations, facial coverings are required and social distancing will be practiced.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Doey’s House, c/o Hopsice of Washington County, 747 Northern Avenue Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Very sorry for your loss, I grew up going to school with Tre and he was always the kid in class making everyone laugh, he was such a bright light in peoples lives. The many times of seeing him around town, we always spoke and I always made sure to ask him how he was. May he R.I.P.
